Pregnancy

Acupuncture support during pre conception care, assisted conception, pregnancy, birth and post partum recovery has become increasingly popular. Pregnancy may well be a woman’s first experience of acupuncture where drug treatments are often not recommended.

Acupuncture can either be used as preventative medicine to support the expectant mother or when there are symptoms or discomforts associated with pregnancy. Acupuncture is both safe and gentle and can bring great relief during all three trimesters. Some women go on to choose having an acupuncturist present at their birth.
