Supervision

Working as an acupuncturist or therapist can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be demanding. You spend much of your time supporting others, and it’s easy for your own needs as a practitioner to be set aside. Supervision offers a space where you can pause, reflect, and feel listened to and supported in your work.

I offer one-to-one supervision for acupuncturists and other practitioners working in a caring or therapeutic role. Whether you’re newly qualified or have been in practice for many years, supervision can provide a steady place to think things through and develop your work with more clarity and confidence.

Supervision is a confidential, non-judgemental space. It gives you the opportunity to talk openly about your clinical work, as well as the wider aspects of practice, including anything that may feel challenging, uncertain, or difficult to navigate.

  • Patient cases and treatment approaches

  • Boundaries and professional relationships

  • Ethical questions

  • Building or sustaining a practice

  • Confidence and decision-making

  • Managing workload and avoiding burnout

These are all common parts of working in practice, and having the time and space to reflect on them can make a real difference to how you feel in your work.

Supervision isn’t only about difficulties, it’s also about ongoing development. It can help you feel more grounded, build on your strengths, and stay connected to your work over time. My approach is supportive, thoughtful, and collaborative. I aim to create a space where you feel able to speak openly, reflect honestly, and leave with a clearer sense of direction.

I was a founder member of the Mentoring and Supervision Network for Acupuncturists and Integrative Health Practitioners and worked as part of the team that set up and launched the Network in 2025. If you’re considering supervision, you’re very welcome to get in touch and have an initial conversation about what you might need.
