Hello and welcome

If you’re here, there’s a good chance something isn’t quite right. You might be dealing with ongoing pain, stress that feels hard to switch off, trouble sleeping, or you sense your body is out of balance. You may have tried a few different approaches already and are looking for something that feels more supportive.

That’s where I can help. I offer acupuncture in a calm, supportive space in Tooting Bec, London, where you can take the time to slow down, be heard, and begin to feel better in a way that’s sustainable. My approach is gentle, personalised, and grounded in traditional principles, while also being mindful of modern lifestyles and the pressures many of us carry.

You don’t need to have all the answers before you come. Part of my role is to help you make sense of what’s going on and work with you towards meaningful improvement.

About Me

My path into acupuncture came from a genuine interest in how the body heals and how physical symptoms are often connected to stress, lifestyle, and emotional well-being. Through my training and experience, I’ve developed a practice that focuses not just on symptoms, but on the person as a whole.

When you come to see me, I’ll take the time to listen carefully to your concerns, your history, and what you’re hoping to achieve. There’s no rush, and no pressure – just a conversation that helps us understand where to begin.

I work in a way that is calm, respectful, and collaborative. My aim is not to overwhelm you with theory, but to give you a clear sense of what we’re doing and why, so you feel informed and at ease throughout.

What to Expect

With acupuncture, the aim is to help the body return to a better state of balance. When things are more balanced, health tends to improve.

Most people begin with weekly sessions to start with. This gives us time to build a clearer picture of your health, including your current symptoms, general wellbeing, medical history, sleep, and lifestyle. You’re always welcome to ask questions along the way, especially if acupuncture is new to you.

Treatment involves the use of very fine needles, gently placed at specific points on the body. Sensations are usually mild and brief, and many people find the experience more comfortable than they expect.

Some people notice changes quite quickly, while for others it can take a little longer or feel more gradual. Many also find the sessions themselves deeply relaxing.

  • "Julia is wonderful. She kept me pain-free and mobile for 8 years while I was suffering from an osteoarthritic hip. I had been offered surgery but thanks to Julia I was able to cope with my original hip for 8 yrs beyond what the surgeons thought was possible. She then helped me recover from my hip replacement and I had an amazingly fast recovery and was back to work within 6 weeks. Julia has also treated my 3 children for various health issues and has kept us all healthy for years. She is totally professional, extremely skilled and exudes calm positivity. I can't recommend her more highly."

  • "Julia was recommended to me by a friend, as an experienced acupuncturist based in Tooting Bec. I booked a course of 6 sessions to help with various Menopause symptoms. Julia was a listening ear, kind, calm, thorough, and made the sessions interesting and stress free. Aside from the excellent acupuncture treatment, she passed on lots of good advise. Highly recommend."
